Scrolling- Ain't it a pain? We try on our site
to have separate pages you can click to go back or NEXT to go forward.
When you do have to scroll, my first choice is the DOWN ARROW button
on your keyboard, or UP ARROW button to return. To go real fast, my
choice is the PAGE UP or PAGE DOWN
button on your keyboard, just a touch or hold down, and my 3rd choice
is hold a left click with the curser on the right side bar gliding it
up or down at your own speed. Some people like to use the wheel on the
mouse but I find it tiring on my fingers. My last choice is to try to
keep the curser on the bottom, but that's a pain. Try to find what suits
you best.
Printing-
Because we have a separate
left side MENU, when you click on the icon PRINT, that menu prints first
and separately from probably the page you want. Try this if you don't
want that to happen. First left click once anywhere on the actual page
you want to print, then left click on the printing icon, and it will
print just the page you clicked on and not the menu. Follow the same
sequence if you use the File icon to do the printing.
Printing
E-mail- I
learned finally how to print out e-mail without all the garbage, ads,
and extraneous headings on the email page. At least on yahoo and I think
others, you click on Printable View
and it will eliminate all the non message parts.
You still get the from and to information and subject
with date. Quite often with the elimination of the garbage, the entire
message fits on 1 page, saving extra printing costs. Try it.
If
our Website doesn't fit in your Screen-
You
can change the Screen Resolution on your computer so you can view the
whole screen instead of having half of the screen cut off. To change
your resolution you can Right Click on your desktop, then click on properties.
The properties windows will appear. At the top of that screen you will
see a set of tabs. Click on Settings Tab. From the Settings Tab you
can move the slider bar to the right increasing your screen area. This
will allow you to see Square Foot Gardens website without the screen
being cutoff. After setting your screen resolution, simply click on
the OK button at the bottom which will change your settings.
If this sounds a little complicated, then I would
suggest you print this out before you try to make the changes.
Photo
Attachement won't open -
Sometimes
an attached photo will not open when it is sent with an email. It's
there, but it just shows up as a open box with a "x" in the
upper left hand corner. You can open it by doing the following:
Do
a right click on the x.
A
drop down menu will appear.
Right
or left click on "show photo."
If
not, repeat above steps, and the photo should appear.
If A Link Doesn't Open-
If
you left click with your mouse on a link or web address and nothing
happens try a right click, a drop down menu shows up and then click
on “open window” with either a right or left click. That should open
the desired item much quicker.
